Hutchinson Island has become our little slice of summer tradition. Every year, my daughter and I make our way back to this beautiful, sleepy beach town to visit family—and it always feels like time slows down just enough.

It’s the kind of place where you can walk almost anywhere: from the beach to the corner café to the quiet streets lined with palms. Saturday mornings are our favorite, there’s a local market filled with fresh produce, handmade goods, and neighbors catching up over coffee. It’s such a simple thing, but it feels like the heart of the island.

The jetty is where we always end up. We start our mornings there watching boats drift out and the sun climb over the water, and later grab a bite while the sky turns pastel.

There’s something about Hutchinson Island that leaves you both relaxed and renewed. It’s more than just a summer stop, it’s a feeling we carry with us long after we leave.
